How are the Carmel College Foundation Programmes assessed?

There are a variety of assessment methods on the Foundation programme. 30% of the student’s overall module mark comes from coursework (continuous assessment) and 70% from a 2-hour examination at the end of the semester (1 -hour for half modules).

The continuous assessment includes written pieces, in class tests, practical assessments, and presentations. There are between 6 and 8 pieces of coursework per modules (3 pieces for half modules).
