Question

Question

Can I transfer after first year to veterinary science?

Answer

Answer

Unfortunately we are unable to accept transfers on to the Veterinary Science BVSc before the completion of other degree programmes.

For entry as a graduate onto the Veterinary Science BVSc we would require:

An upper second class (2.i) Honours Degree completed in the last 5 years, together with Biology and Chemistry at A-level.

  • Bioveterinary Science, Zoology or Animal Science (BSc) degrees; grades CC in Biology and Chemistry at A-level
  • All other science (BSc) degrees; grades BB in Biology and Chemistry at A-level
  • Arts (BA) degrees; grades AA in Biology and Chemistry at A-level

Graduate applicants must also fulfil the GCSE criteria as detailed on the link above.

Due to introduction of a new veterinary curriculum, we no longer offer the accelerated (4 year) programme; therefore all students must complete the 5 year programme.
